Food for thought and other stuff

I am now the "simple church guy", leaving a staff postion in a large church and going on a new adventure with God.  My family and I are excited and scared at the same time.
I long to see people connecting with God and each other in a meaningful way.  I'm not sure what it will all look like, but I'm ready for the adventure to begin!

Hello, I don't always put updates from 'all' the services we have in this BLOG. When we have an exceptionally good meeting I always try to get an update up. This Saturation Service was one of if not the best one we have had since we moved into the Center in Jeannette. I'll try to give a blow by blow update without it being a book. Steve is the designated speaker right now and he had worked hard getting the word out and mobilized prayer for the meeting. I knew it was going to be well attended when it was 6:30pm and we already had a small crowd gathered. People usually aren't early for these meetings. Brett set up which is a lot easier now that we have gotten our own equipment that we can just leave at the center.

We always have a time where someone will share a short message from the Word. Mark 16 tells us that the Lord worked with them and confirmed the Word with signs following. People can say what they want about these meetings but the proof is in the pudding so to speak. We've been doing it this way for around 19 years now and God has always shown up in huge ways. It helps that usually the people that attend are people that are hungry for more of Him. It's true what's been said, "A hunger on earth creates an openess in heaven".

Well, people began to arrive and kept arriving, I think this meeting was the best attended Saturation Service we've had since we moved into the Center. We all talked and commented on different things then Steve shared from the Word. It was a good message that really stirred up our faith to believe God for a great night. The Holy Spirit put it on different people's hearts to share insights on the Word and then Brett began to play. He just had a guitar but it sounded like much more. I think he gets better every time we get together. We had praise and worship and at different times Brett would just sing and play prophetically. Other times he would just open the Bible and sing directly from the scriptures with a Holy Spirit inspired melody. The Manifest (discernible to the senses) Presence of God began to descend like a blanket that spread over everything and everyone. People were standing with arms raised, sitting motionless with eyes closed, walking around praying and laying on the floor, singing and quiet. There was freedom to respond to God's Presence.

After around 2 hours and 40 min. we were all sitting looking at each other. It's kinda like we just finished a race and we were all kinda breathless, stunned by what just took place. The residue of the anointing stays for a while when the service is over and we were all feeling it.

3 hours seems like a long time to do nothing but worship God but for those who are familiar with God's ways it passes quickly. Those who have experienced Him like I'm talking about know that 3 hours is a drop in the bucket if it can produce 3 min. in His full on Manifest Presence. I like the term 'God Chaser' that Tommy Tenny used. Some try to ridicule me for using it or make light of the whole concept. All I know is that when you're chasing God and He stops and turns around and you run into Him it can change your life. If I'm gonna chase anything or anybody I'd rather it be God so yes I am proud to be a "God Chaser". Only God Chasers will spend 3 hrs or more sometimes going after the one that is worthy of our whole lives chasing.

There's so much more to it than that but you get the drift. There's just no way to put into words what goes on at a meeting where God shows up. I guess if you really are curious and/or are a God Chaser yourself you'll just have to come to one of our Saturation Services yourself. Keep an eye on the schedule on the website or just remember we have them the last Friday of the month.

Loving the fragrance of heaven,  Pastor Danny
